Google Glass is a wearable computer with an optical head-mounted display (OHMD). Google Glass displays information in hands free format just like a smartphone. Google Glass user can communicate with the Internet via natural language voice commands.

Google Glass is loaded with the pixel resolution of 640×360. This sort of display may sound you bit low at first instance but you should keep in mind that the panel added for it is just a little piece that will be located near to the right eye when you will wear this glass. Google has also claimed that this glass can offer users the same sort of picture quality that you can find with the twenty-five inches HD display when you use to view it from a distance of 8 feet. Well, this will surely sound good to you.

Google Glass also has a 5 mega pixel built-in camera which can capture up to 720p videos. The audio is captured with the help of a bone-conduction transducer. So when you are wearing the Google Glass, there is no need to use the actual headphones. It will send the audio vibrations to your ear through the small vibrations that will occur with the small bones. And due to this you will be able to hear the sound.

Google Glass became officially available to the general public on May 15, 2014, for a price of $1500. Before that users were required to receive invitations from Google to try Google Glass. Google provides four prescription frame choices for $225 and free with the purchase of any new Glass unit. It is necessary to remove a small screw in order to move the Google Glass from one frame to another. Google entered in a partnership with the Italian eye wear company Luxottica, owners of the Ray-BanOakley, and other brands, to offer additional frame designs.
